		<description>thanks for that comment, city worker. as city employee who makes sense, i&#039;m surprised you&#039;re still there! they are so good at getting rid (thru firing, furloughing, demoting, etc) of people willing to engage in open, honest dialogue. 

&#039;passive aggressive&#039; is about as accurate a way i&#039;ve heard it phrased yet. 

and if touting biz as usual now merits a press release, times and talking points have indeed reached dismal circumstances.</description>

		<description>Certain city workers from these departments work every year on Christmas Day (as well as other holidays).  Notice she didn&#039;t mention the Department of Finance or City Council, etc.  Shift workers (i.e. Dpt. of Watershed treatment plant workers, those who maintain the airport and police, etc.) have always worked on holidays.  It&#039;s just another bogus press release to make citizens feel better about the layoffs and bad that they get to sit at home while hard-working city workers must report to work. Don&#039;t feel bad - I don&#039;t.

p.s. I am definitely off tomorrow and I am a city worker.</description>
