Sunshine is the best disinfectant, said Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis. Georgia has a long way to go before its citizens can find out what is happening, particularly at the county and local levels of government. This State program is a step in the right direction, but it is pretty lame. There are far better technologies and capabilities available. I hope that Governor Perdue is serious about this initiative, as opposed to simply "checking the box" so that he can claim that Georgia government is open for inspection.
