How anyone could like such a childish unoriginal show is beyond me. I’d bet my left nut the same people that praise this show are dropouts and stoners.

I like Tom Goes to The Mayor more, although there are a bunch of skits from Awesome Show that I love. Mostly the older stuff though.

The people that get this show, are the ones that have a developed sense of humour, the kind that also understand the more complex of british slapstick too. it can be simple and silly, but to understand what makes it good and hilarious might take some intelligence and familiarity with said styles.

Oddly enough, most people don’t realize how brilliant these guys are. They’re like Andy Kaufman, Mr. Show with some David Lynch visuals. If you like Will Ferrell, Family Guy, Entourage, clearly they want you to hate the show.

I watch this show stone-cold sober and laugh my ass off, sometimes in plain bewilderment and wonder. It’s true, you need to be someone that pays attention not to the content of the current pop culture, but to the medium that delivers it. Those who go to a run-of-the-mill Friday night show and leave the movie commenting on things like the edits, lighting effects, and pace fall into this category. If you like the punchline variety comedy and don’t “get” T&E, that’s fine. It’s not your thing.

Love the show. I’ve seen every episode. I agree their comedic stylings are an aquired taste but that’s the beauty of it. Sometimes there is nothing to get at all, it’s just random silliness. If you like redneck comedy hour this in not the show for you.
