In regards to the new layout of the Creative Loafing website I hardly would describe it as “Shiny and New” and instead would call it lackluster and somewhat of a maze to navigate through. When designing a new website it is necessary to bring a sense of flavor while making the website an easy tool for user’s to use. I find the new website dull, the white backgroung, the uncaptivating font style and the borderless pictures seem more like a high school computer science project than a professional website. I thought the previous version was a lot more fun, easy to use and attracted me to the point where I would check the site daily to get a glimpse of the social scene in Atlanta. Now, I don’t know if I even want to use this site for my source of information and perhaps will turn to other sites such as Access Atlanta.

Site is pretty cool.. beats AJC hands down.. ;) Some of the depth would be nice..

I dont like it at all. The only one was easy to navigate and find what your looking for. This one had a lot of ads and looks dull, plain, nothing outstanding here. The old one had the home town feel to it. This one looks really corporate and blah….

I’m sure your web gurus will say “Oh, people always hate it at first when you change your site.” But trust me, this site sucks. The old site reeked of hipness. This one’s like an amateur version of a corporate site. And you’ve hidden (or maybe removed?) the stuff I really liked. Switch back or prepare for your online demise.

It doesn’t really matter what the web site looks like when the content is no longer there. I miss the in-depth news articles and commentary you used to have.

Where did you put Bizarre Crimes from the APD? That was practically the only thing worth reading since you closed down Karma Cleanser!
