The most important district in the house and I haven't seen anyone that knows what they're talking about. I met Steve at a festival in Virginia Highlands and couldn't be more impressed. Alex and Liz have an agenda that is questionable. We need someone that understands city politics and as far as I'm concerned Brodie is the only one.

Just in case anyone reads this late:
1) A former Midtown land use person caused the revolution that led Brodie to step down from Land Use. The opposition in the firestorm was led by someone who didn't even live in the affected property, nor would they ever meet over the issue when explicitly, and REPEATEDLY, invited. Get your facts straight before suggesting the hounds be loosed.
2) No one but NO one has a better working grip on the complexities of zoning code and regulations than Brodie, and i've worked with about 6 Land Use chairs, half nitwits and the other half obstructionists.
3) Why put out your planks when your oppositions co-opts them wholesale, dang near word for word?
3) The Childrens School and the adjacent neighbors have lied to and agitated each other for so many years there is little in the way of reasonable resolution. But last i heard - nothing but crickets.

Steve didnt get elected NPU president when he ran unopposed.

He stepped down from being head of the land use at the MNA because of problems.

He pissed off half of midtown with the childrens school and is in the back pocket of developers.

Creative loafing please look at his NPU record and why he had to step down at Land Use before you endorse this guy again.

I am not a big fan of his due to what a poor loser he was after he lost the first time. Also did not like how he waffled on a lot of the issues. I work in the service industry, he was asked how he felt about bars closing early - he was for returning the hours. But a week later he made the statement of not in midtown.

@Tired - thanks for the info. I will give him a break but how long does it take to upload a simple page with a few bullet points? His platform should be front and center.

This is awesome!!! I'm new to Midtown and live a few blocks from Steve and Ken. Just after I moved in I found out that there was a meth house across from my condo. When I called Anne Fauver, she was like "crime is down" and insinuated I should pick a "better class of people" to run around with. Someone suggested I call Steve and he arranged a meeting with the police. Two days later, drug house busted. All of Midtown has been pushing for him to run. I'm going to everything I can to see that he wins.

DaleC,
Give the dude a break. Steve didn't want to run and didn't even have a website until this weekend. Fortunately a group of concerned residents persuaded him to run again. Steve's platform will emphasize enacting many of the reforms detailed in the Bain report. Too bad this eliminates a lot of patronage (ie, mayor's family needs a paycheck) jobs and votes. Plus eliminating "special" perks, like Pennington's posse, which is esentially a precint to provide for his personal needs. And giving the city a realistic budget, instead of throwing a rug over our constant defecit.

Anyway, what's Fauver's platform. Besides some lame idea to get reimbursed for public safety workers, who leave to go to communities with city councils who can figure out how to give them full time employment.

Probably the same platform he ran on last time - the people in office aren't doing enough. It didn't work then, but probably will this time given the City's finances.
