- Remember how those Somali pirates made off with the captain of the U.S.-manned ship? Well, he tried to escape by jumping overboard their lifeboat(!), only to be recaptured… and they’re vowing to fight back if they’re attacked.
- Makes for great copy: Both the U.S. navy and the pirates (as if they were some sort of major league franchise or something- er, wait…) are sending more boats into the area.
- We’ll believe it when we see it: CIA says it’s stopped operating secret jails.
- But… apparently, in the case of warrantless wiretapping, the electronic frontier foundation says Obama Department of Justice’s arguments are worse than Bush’s.
- Lemme check: Nop, still bad. Economy not expected to recover until (maybe) September, and job market won’t improve until middle of next year… how can they tell? Doughnuts and draws.
- Bailing them out: U.S. government to make 17,000 plus fuel-efficient cars from American auto manufacturers.
- I’ve seen it with my own two eyes: Conficker computer worm is real, and it’s armed to steal and spam.
- Yes, call it a comeback: CompUSA is back from the dead, opening new stores nationwide (none in Georgia tho).
