Atlanta Tea Party with Sean Hannity to feature ’shit sandwiches’
April 14, 2009 at 10:39 am by Thomas Wheatley in News
How’s that for a headline, eh?
Tomorrow night at the Capitol, thousands of people will gather as part of the Atlanta Tea Party, one of more than 500 scheduled on Tax Day. There, outside one of the most beautiful and useless buildings in the state, the crowd will complain about something that’s been going on for years — gross misuse of taxpayer dollars and business-as-usual politics. Emceeing this affair will be Sean Hannity, Fox News’ angriest white man.
Turns out Hannity and some of the various dignitaries who’ve signed on for the event might not get the warmest of welcomes. A tipster tells us that some members of the state Libertarian Party — have they gone rogue?!? — have printed more than 600 signs that scold the talk show host and politicians for turning their heads during Bush-era bank bailouts and excessive spending. (Even if you disagree with their policies, Libertarians have an incredible sense of humor. The Allen Buckley radio ads during the U.S. Senate race gave that grueling contest a much-needed jolt of excitement.)
(UPDATE: Just spoke with Daniel Adams, chairman of the Libertarian Party of Georgia. He wanted to stress that these signs were made by individual party members and not endorsed or approved by the party. Adams says the state party is co-sponsoring Atlanta’s April 15 protest to show support for the grassroots movement that’s organized these events. He says the website listed on the signs is a mirrored site belonging to the national party, not that of the state’s.)
The aforementioned tipster was kind enough to pass along PDFs of the signs, which I’ve posted after the jump. You can download them all here. Print ‘em out and join the crowd! It’ll be fun!

I love Libertarians!

This sure begs the question… IF you could trust a Libertarian (which of course you can’t) would you trust one who went parading off with the R herd to a Kool-Aid party? I think not.

you misspelled Schumer ad Isaacson, and probably some of those other names. I shouldn’t warn you so it adds more comedy to the teabagging party. Go wingnuts!
April 14th, 2009 at 2:20 pm
Actually, toyboat,Isakson is spelled correctly… at least when talking about our US Senator… not sure who’s behind these posters, but it does appear that you’re correct on the other misspelling.

S&*T Sandwiches? The old joke went “The more bread you have the lesse s*$t you gotta eat”.

These teabagging events are about as grassroots as a Hannah Montana autograph session.

The only thing worse than idiot Republicans are idiot Libertarians. Both are “teabagging” America big time. Trouble is, they don’t have the balls for it.
April 15th, 2009 at 10:51 am
Pete, you’re right… why don’t we just turn over 100% of our paychecks to Uncle Sam so everyone can have everything for free. Is that the kind of Utopia you yearn for?

i wonder if these morons know what teabagging is?
either way, no thanks! the right wing nutjobs should just teabag each other in private.

Debbie,
This is my favorite thing to ask people that hate Obama so much. It is very simple too: Why? Show me where your taxes have been raised or some reason he deserves your ire. They never can. They always claim things that have not happened and wont happen. Or they just say something racist.
April 15th, 2009 at 6:28 pm
Oh Adam, I don’t hate or dislike the guy… I just don’t agree with his policies, his backpeddling or his campaign lies…His spending is outrageous… the economy would have bounced back… it always does without the spending… but you no what he won his campaign by campaigning a failing economy and he was the one to fix it… and now he has to go to extreme measures so it looks like he is fixing it… once again “it fixes itself” the spending will eventually hurt everyone… mark my word!!!

Here is the easy, snarky left response to that. I will take a president spending money attempting to kick start the economy any day over wasteful spending on worthless wars. By the way, McCain had a stimulus project in the works as well. Thank you for actually having a reason though.
April 16th, 2009 at 1:30 am
I didn’t see any of these Libertarian signs at the rally.

You may not agree with these Tea Parties but it is pretty easy to see that the current imbalance in government is causing problems. How many social programs can they pack into these spending bills and still call it “stimulus”….that’s the new game in town.
Anyone still talking about Bush needs to pull their heads out of the sand. Obama was a voting member of Congress so saying he “inherited” this ain’t going to cut it. He’s spending MY money on social programs and welfare. Cap/Trade is going to force more jobs overseas because it will be too expensive for manufacturers to operate here in the U.S. All this in a time when we desperately need manufacturing jobs because a service based economy is not the road to longevity and stability.
Moscow, Tehran, Pyongyang & Beijing can all smell blood. Obama and his idealistic, child-like view of the world is going to get us in a lot of trouble.
Rhetoric isn’t going to solve Jimmy Carter’s botched Iranian diplomacy attempts and it will do nothing to curb Iran and N. Korea from further developing their nuclear programs – how about those consequences for N. Korea’s missle testing…WHAT CONSEQUENCES, JUST EMPTY TALK.
Moscow is working hard to try and get the U.S. out of Western Europe – remember Moscow talking Kyrgyzstan into closing our Air Base.
China is investing a ton of money in Venezuela and Peru (two very anti-American & anti-democracy countries) securing oil deals in exchange for power plants further weakening the U.S. position in the Western Hemisphere.
These aren’t just a string of coincidences. We needed a strong leader and all we got was an inexperienced car salesman.
I can read the writing on the wall…CAN YOU!

I hope this is getting to Seah Hannity. I am new on the net so am trying to let Sean know I am a big admirer of his and keep telling the truth. I was at the Madison Wisconsin Tea Party (6000) strong and feel our country is in peril of loosing all of the rights our forefathers left us in the Constitution and bill of rights. Go Hannity Go! Keep plugging away at those left wingers. I have a few less friends and relatives due to their idiotic stupidity on who is running our country. Down with the dems. We are watching. Sincerely, Janie Streff
