The new 99X will air on 97.9 FM because its old spot on the FM dial, 99.7, was taken over by Q100 in 2008. This explains the station’s new slogan “Less hertz. No Berts.”

Sweet. Are they going to play very underground acts like Coldplay and The Arctic Monkeys sprinkled in with some Pearl Jam? I can’t wait.

Edgewood Adam, you forgot Candlebox & Silverchair.
For a while, I thought those were the only 2 CD’s 99X actually owned.
But then they sprung for that Alice in Chains CD.
