Right-wing terrorism actually left-wing terrorism, says defensive right-winger
June 11, 2009 at 1:33 pm by Andisheh Nouraee in NewsWhen is right-wing violent extremism actually left-wing violent extremism?
When defensive, embarrassed right-wingers pretend it is!
From Peach Pundit/Red State blogger Erick Erickson:
Clearly the Erick Ericksons and Michelle Malkins of the world would like you to forget the countless mainstream conservatives who systematically and serially mocked a prescient recent government warning about violent right-wing extremists like Von Brunn and the man accused of gunning down Kansas abortion Dr. George Tiller.
No amount of spin and finger-pointing changes this essential fact. We were warned and they laughed. Don’t forget that.

I don’t know if Erick is a douchebag or just acting like one. Either way, he’s increasingly talking to himself. Enjoy the echo chamber, douche.

Here’s Glenn Beck, whose response to the Holocaust Museum shooting is to talk about al-Qaeda.

Bless his country-ass heart. Little Erick Erickson clearly has never met a genuine American lefty. Had he ever done so, he’d know they hate mostly when they don’t win free passes to the Atlanta Film Festival by being the 4th caller to AM1690.
In that regard, he shares a frighteningly restricted social bubble with, well… semi-literate domestic terrorists who travel to our public educational spaces for the sole purpose of murdering innocent civilians.
But what the hay. Who needs to EVER go outside one’s Hannity-approved comfort zone if inflammatory, baseless, reality-free rhetoric is paying off the mortgage so dang fast?!

Seems Rick Sanchez on CNN, right now, 3:03pm, is devoting whole show today to some of the issues brought up in this blog post.

As far as anti-semitism goes – there is way more of it on the left than there is on the right these days.
Examples:
The left’s demonizing of Israel.
The perverse alliance between the left and radical Islam.
The crowd at any anti-war rally

oh… forgot one more example:
Jimmy Carter

HCL3, you’re making stuff up.
There’s a solid consensus on the left and right in this country supporting Israel. Disagreeing with Israeli particular Israeli policies isn’t any more anti-semitic than disagreeing with particular U.S. government policy is anti-Protestant.
I’ve been to a lot of anti-war rallies. I’ve never witnessed anti-semitism.
And where is this alliance between the left and radical Islam. Give me an example of popular political group in the this country that is in any way “allied” with radical Islam.
As for Jimmy Carter — he negotiated a peace deal that severed Arab military alliance that had waged war on Israel repeatedly for a quarter century. Since that deal was brokered, Israel’s military supremacy in the Middle East has never been challenged. Opponents of Israel continue to fight asymmetrically, via terrorism. As deadly as terrorism is, it is a tactic of people who cannot compete militarily.
