Dagmar Midcap wins weather Emmy

This, admittedly, is not big news. I just figured I’d pick up a few thousand extra page views by putting the oddly poetic name of WGCL-TV’s redheaded weather honey in the headline.
But it’s apparently true that the Canadian-born Midcap has, indeed, won an Emmy for a 2008 special called “Hurricane Hunter.” Quoth she:
“What a great honor to win an award doing something that I love,” stated Dagmar Midcap. “This was a fantastic project and I am so glad I was able to participate. Although a little dangerous, the journey was worth every minute!”
Anyone who’s seen the super-perky Midcap in action knows that she often speaks in exclamation points.
But, in all seriousness, Midcap’s win is all the more impressive when you consider that the Emmys don’t even have a swimsuit competition.
