Wilkinson County getting more stimulus money for transportation than Fulton

Wilkinson’s gettingĀ $56,366,518 in federal stimulus money for transportation projects.
Fulton is receivingĀ $50,068,562.

Wilkinson County is where my people are from — Toomsboro, to be exact. There’s not even ONE red light there.

Yeah, I’m sure Jim Marshall isn’t too upset about this either, but it’s the states that decide where the stimulus money is spent. Surprise, surprise, the metro Atlanta area gets screwed again. At least we’re not the only city getting hosed:

JSF3000, that’s a very good point, one I hadn’t considered. However, I was referring to the stimulus fund allocation process that happens at the state level, which, as we all know, is Republican dominated.
