Birthers gain crazy momentum

Momentum, perhaps, but not legitimacy. It’s just plain nutty how, six months after Obama took office, it seems that more folks than ever are swapping wacky conspiracy theories that question whether the president was born in the USA. And it’s not simply street-level wingnuts; conservative commentators and politicians are also adding fuel to the fire. Some are even from Georgia!
Over at HuffPo, they claim CNN’s Lou Dobbs is losing viewership while ranting about Barrack’s birthplace. Apparently, even CNN honcho Jon Klein has tried to distance the news network from Dobbs’ nonsense:
We have no control over what he says on his radio show. It’s not a CNN radio program so he does what he does on the radio separate from what he does on our air. So we ask you and anyone writing about this, to look at what he says on CNN. It’s the only thing we control.
Meanwhile, Capitol Impact scribe Tom Crawford writes in his political column on Blog for Democracy that Georgia congressman and gubernatorial candidate Nathan Deal, R-Gainesville, is also flirting with the birthers, possibly because the Peach State is filled to the rafters with right-wing conspiracy theorists.
It may be that, deep down inside, Deal realizes that the attacks on Obama’s citizenship and birth status are the paranoid ravings of angry racists who will never accept the fact that a black man was elected president. But if that’s the case, he’s certainly not going to admit it to any GOP primary voters.

In my opinion the Republican Party has been taken over the most extreme religious right (people who love to push their beliefs on others while trying to take away their rights) and that’s who they need to focus on if they real want to win. Good Luck, because as they said in WACO, “We Ain’t Coming Out”.
In the same vein, to all the birthers in La, La Land, it is on you to prove to all of us that your assertion is true, if there are people who were there and support your position then show us the video (everyone has a price), either put up or frankly shut-up. I heard Orly Taitz, is selling a tape (I think it’s called “Money, Lies and Video tape”). She is from Orange County, CA, now I know what the mean when they say “behind the Orange Curtain”, when they talk about Orange County, the captial of Conspiracy Theories. You know Obama has a passport, he travel abroad before he was a Senator, but I guess he fooled them too?
