Anne Fauver’s “Water Ballet” of incompetence has been danced since she was first elected. Creating a City Council that operates in compliance with all city, state, and federal law is a hallmark of competent city government.
A petition was presented to Judge Thrash and and all current elected officials were sent copies. Anne Fauver does not want voters to understand the petition or even know about it. Liz Coyle has expressed no interest in the petition either.
The petition challenges the lawfulness of some of Atlanta’s Consent Decree projects and it is based on a legal decision from a higher Court than Judge Thrash.
There are many conflicting interpretations of the issues. If elected to represent Council District 6, will Steve Brodie commit to restoring competency to Atlanta City Council by asking Judge Thrash to issue a ruling regarding the lawfulness of the Consent Decree projects?

Thank goodness someone has put humor in this campaign!
We all know Brodie is bit too serious. That probably comes from the fact he knows how serious the issues are. Between the sour faced Coyle and Wan pretending to be an experienced business person, it’s great to see Steve is willing to show his supporters are real people who are enjoying life. All we really want in our life is to try to enjoy ourselves in a safe neighborhood and not get taxed our of our homes!!
Steve thanks for getting us back to reality. Losen up guy; can’t wait to see your next video

She didn’t have that gawdawful stress tick before she switched sides on the Beltline development issue and decided to work for the City…

My biggest issue with Liz and Alex is their lack of knowledge in how a city council works. Their biased opinions on the beltline and Alex without saying has no background whatsoever in anything. Who the hell is that guy anyway and what makes him think he can put our “nodsquad” back on track. Go Steve!!

Finally a city politician with a sense of humor!! Think it’s great this guy Steve has got the support of the Candler Park Water Ballet. A great group of ladies (an uh, one guy?) who use their talents to promote the neighborhood and have done some wonderful things to bring us all together. Over here in Candler Park we love our Ballet. They’re a tough group to get political so when they come out for Brodie, he must be someone special. He’s got my vote. Hope MidtownCraig is right and there’s more to come!! CL, thanks for letting us know there’s more out there than the twitching Coil and the wannabe Wan. Keep up the good work Mr. Wheatley. We can always depend on you to find the interesting news.

Oh come on anonalawyer don’t you have a sense of humor. Candler Park Water Ballet is lots of fun and their performances are a hoot. Well, some of us like to have some humor in life and you’re the one who would rather pour a bucket of water on people rather than jump in the pool.

Just as an advertising spot, it’s extremely effective. After seeing the spot, when you’re driving through the 6th and you pass a Steve Brodie yard sign, you will notice it every single time. You just can’t un-ring that bell. Featuring the yard sign prominently was a stroke of genius. Truly.

Wan is on the ADA Board who’s the puppet master pulling the ABI Beltline strings, sitting there along w/Miss Shirley.
Maybe the reason Wan hasn’t come out w/his own music video is he can’t dance… (or doesn’t, if the comments about all the alcohol poured at his parties is true – getting his donors likkered up to dig a little deeper… More Shirley taxes, anyone? maybe he’ll throw a kegger in the straight part of town!)

Steve Brodie did a wonderful job with this piece and it’s great to see humor and fun in the campaign. But when will we start to hear from the District 6 candidates on issues affecting our District? One obvious example: What do they think of the ADA and ABI plan for building large developments near Piedmont Park and converting some purely residential streets into cut-throughs for commercial traffic?

Steve Brodie’s biggest campaign contribution comes from Tivoli and Kim King properties…. Lest we forget how hard he fought for tivoli’s high rises on 13th street by piedmont park (they were ultimately denied after the neighbors opposed them).
Who were the developers— why it was a joint development between Tivoli and Kim King Assoc. They wanted to get a property half a mile from the park rezoned so they could build 400′ and twice as dense as allowed.
