Photo of the Day: L5P Halloween Parade

Participants in the notorious Little Five Points Halloween Parade let their freak flag fly high last year, leading some parents to cover their children’s eyes. It’s pretty much that intense every year and it’s coming up this weekend.

  1. Dash Riptide Says:

The parade is 95% fine for (intown) families who won’t faint at the sight of cross-dressers. The coarser element – typically immature, apparently straight males behaving badly – really doesn’t add to the fun. No one expects a Disney parade, but the L5P Business Association should either let participants know that overt crudeness won’t be tolerated or warn parents not to bring the kids. And since the self-indulgent dorks aren’t entertaining anyway, I favor the former option over the latter.

I’m expecting a press release from The Ox any minute asking Mary Norwood to debate ending holidays for Godless humanists.
