Streetalk: Are you for Vick and the Eagles to beat the Falcons?

J.B.: I am pulling for the Eagles. They gave him a second chance, and I’m going to continue to wear his jersey. I’m a die-hard Falcons fan, but the [Georgia] Dome is Michael Vick’s house. He built that Dome. I’d like to see Vick beat the Falcons to show the organization he’s still got what it takes. You got players that did a lot worse, shot women, and you’re going to value a dog’s life more than them? When the Eagles come on the field, I’m going to be cheering and he’s going to get a warm reception outside of all the haters.

Burak: A mixed-emotion day. It will be a much warmer reception than Brett Favre had in Green Bay. You have to remember he resurrected this franchise quite a bit. He should be receiving his respect. I would like us winning the game but for Vick to have a good game, too. If we lose and Vick plays well, I wouldn’t be that so much heartbroken. I respect Vick and what he went through. The punishment was a little bit too harsh. I will give him a standing ovation.

Austin: I’m still a Vick supporter no matter what, but I won’t be cheering for him. I still have the love for him, but it’s all about the Falcons now. He ain’t part of the team. We’re looking good enough without him. I feel sorry for him. I don’t care if he gets knocked out. That’s the way it is. I wish him the best. I’ll cheer for him when he first comes on the field but when the game starts, it’s over. You come into this house [Georgia Dome], we own this house. You got to let him know he’s wearing the wrong jersey. They can knock him out. It’s all Falcons, baby.

Go Mike Vick, cuz that’s my dawg. Enough said. Between the interceptions and missed field goals, I’ve really missed Vick. I’m cheering for the Falcons, but its safe to say we all expected more this season.

If you’re rooting for Vick (who probably won’t step between the lines all game,by the way)you’re not a Falcons fan, pure and simple. Also, aren’t we playing the Bucs tomorrow, and not the Eagles?

Vick built the Georgia Dome? Vick resurrected the franchize? Are you guys serious? Vick was nothing but a disappointment as a Falcon. They had one successful season, but after that he could never win consistently, and I seem to remember him turning the ball over quite a bit. The Georgia Dome was built by the Dirty Birds.

Zach, maybe you dont know that the Falcons had 56 straight sold out games with Mike Vick undercenter and in 2003 and 2007, guess what team had the most no-shows of ticket holders in the NFL?? Yeah, the Falcons…because the main attraction was out. If you noticed on yesterday, there were darn near 20,000 RED seats clearly shown during the game. But I doubt there will be ONE seat available this Sunday coming up.

Haha, that guy says that Vick’s his “dawg.” Is this an electrocuted “Dawg” or just one of the ones who was killed once its skull was slammed repeatedly against the floor?
Vick’s a monster, cultural relativity not-withstanding. Saying that others in the NFL have done worse, e.g. “shooting women” (WTF?) does not make his behavior excusable.
It’s a new era here in Atlanta. This is Mike Smith, Matty Ice, and Tony Gonzalez’s team now. Vick’s barely an Eagle and, God willing, they’ll go down hard on Sunday.

Also, the Georgia Dome was “built” by the Georgia General Assembly and Heery International. Michael Vick was just a glorified thug who was allowed to play in it for a little while.

Vick built the Dome? That would have been news to me when the Falcons went to the Super Bowl in January 1999….something Vick never did.
Selling out games is not an athletic accomplishment, people. Yeah, Vick’s an attraction…so we should all be obliged to cheer him for…being marketable?
He f*#*ed over the team, long story short, and if you cheer him, you’re probably more of a Vick fan than a Falcons fan. Which is fine, but be upfront and real about it, don’t front like that Falcons did him some major hurt by not paying him millions of dollars to sit in jail and not play after lying to the team about his role in an activity that he knew to be illegal……
