Paul Broun’s a birther

I already knew Rep. Paul Broun, R-Athens, is an idiot and an asshole.

Turns out he’s a birther, too.

Here’s Broun with radio host Pete Dominick:

DOMINICK: You think he’s an American citizen and a Christian?

BROUN: I’m not gonna get involved in that.

DOMINICK: You can’t say that he’s an American citizen?

BROUN: Well —

DOMINICK: You can’t say the president’s an American citizen?

BROUN: I don’t know.

Broun’s exchange with Dominick reminds me of an interesting conversation I had with myself 20 minutes ago. It went something like this:

ME: Did Rep. Paul Broun rape and murder a girl in 1990?

ALSO ME: I’m not gonna get involved in that.

ME: You can’t say that Paul Broun didn’t rape and kill girl 20 years ago?

ALSO ME: Well —

ME: You can’t say the Congressman from Georgia’s 10th District is a rapist and a murderer?

ALSO ME: I don’t know.
