Gov. Sonny Perdue to have friendly chat with Dale Russell

Down here in Jawjuh, all our political scandals involve roads

Kudos to WAGA’s Dale Russell, the TV journalist who helped nudge former Speaker Glenn Richardson out of office, for nailing down a story that we’ve been peeking at for a bit.

After reportedly combing through hundreds of records and spending days in Houston County, the veteran investigative reporter turned up an interesting story about Gov. Sonny Perdue. We don’t know the specifics of Russell’s piece just yet, but considering the promo below, it looks like the governor was very interested in a particular road project in his hometown. And according to Russell, some of the governor’s old neighbors — including one woman who said she’s known Perdue “since she changed his diapers” — might lose their homes if it’s built.

Russell’s two-part story airs tonight at 6 and 10 p.m.
