MMA Gives Back …
Heath Westray is a local MMA fan who’s had a tough year. Diagnosed recently with ulcerous colitis, he’s suffered through multiple surgeries resulting in long hospital stays and a lot of physical pain. Heath was a wrestler in high school in Duluth and also practiced Brazilian jiu-jitsu in his spare time. Not to mention that he’s a very enthusiatic fan of mixed-martial-arts and often attends local fights. But until only recenly, Heath has been very sick in bed. The members of the Full Contact Talk panel invited Heath down to attend the taping of the debut podcast. Heath was pleasantly surprised when the panel awarded him with several gifts. One of these was an autographed photo from the UFC light heavyweight champion, Forrest Griffin.

Great show! Lots of information about the history and future of this sport. Love the “darkhorse” picks, Rashad is definately making a name for himself and I think finally getting some promotion/marketing. However, Thiago seems to be the true dark horse – this kid plowed thru everyone at Pride and has had a very successful showing in undercard fights for the UFC. He’s well-rounded and capable, we’ll be seeing more of him for sure. Nice job, keep up the good work!
