Been drinking LaVazza Decaf from a mokka pot after dinner for quite awhile. Love it! Tried Illy but it just wasn't as pleasing. Bought it at Harry's in Cobb (Whole Foods owned). The grind is excellent for use in a mokka pot. For those looking for mokka pots - BrandsMart sells the authentic Bialetti ones pretty cheap.

I've been looking for a good decaf espresso bean to use in my mokka pot. I agree that the Starbucks version has an unpleasant taste because it's roasted too heavily. Sounds like the LaVazza might be a good one to try. I think the Robusta snobbery reminds me of all the 'single origin' snobbery going on with chocolate and other foods - as if there's something innately reductive about creating a blend.

Cliff,

We are the master importer for LaVazza coffees. We are also the main supplier for Whole Foods.

If you, or anyone else has problems finding any of the LaVazza labels, please feel free to contact us directly. We can offer many local alternatives to Whole Foods.

You can get some really brilliant stuff (probably Lavazza, though I've been trying out the others) out at the International Farmers Market on Peachtree Industrial. It's a hike, but you can always stock up and freeze!
