When Wine South moved to GWCC, I moved away from Wine South. The sponsors appear to have a high opinion of themselves, an opinion not shared by many of us who travel wine circles. As far as I'm concerned the "bloom has been off the rose" for some time. Like many events, they expanded beyond their ability to bring value to the consumer. Their focus is on maximizing attendance rather than providing an enjoyable wine experience. It's not too late for them to return to the fundamentals that brought them success in the first place. Only time will tell if they themselves have come to this realization.
