The Depot
January 28th, 2008 by Besha Rodell in Gossip, News, RestaurantsJSF asks: “Any news on the ‘Depot’ at Memorial Drive at the Glenwood connector? It looks almost open and I know nothing about it. Got any insider info?”
The Depot is owned by the same folks who own Vickery’s, Fontaine’s and Highland Tap. The concept there will be similar to their other restaurants — an American bar and grill. They are hoping to be open sometime in February.
It is a very cool building (the old train depot near Glenwood Park) that has screamed to have a restaurant in it for years. We’ll keep you posted.

So hijacking this, I haven’t heard a single word about ‘Across the Street,” in the old Roman Lily location. What’s the deal?

Is Across the Street not open or something? I ate their in recent months and would understand if it closed…the food was not exceptional…good concept, bad execution.

I would edit my previous post to say “there” not “their”…but I don’t see an edit option.

Oh goodie! Can’t wait to try it, I love when new bars open in the ‘hood! I can’t wait for the new Brick Store Pub.

It is open, I stopped in for a drink earlier this week. Service is a little spotty. Everyone is very nice, but if takes a really really long time to get anything, even a glass of wine. It’s a very cool old building with tons of parking.
