Hi Cliff, thanks for the mention about Danneman's. But I need to give you the right scoop on it. My friend Joe Stewardson owns the whole building on the corner or Edgewood and Boulevard that previously was Javaology, Corner Tavern and Cafe Circa. When Javaology closed, Joe met up with Kate Pedrick and decided to partner with Kate to open it back up as a coffee shop theymselves.

Grant Henry is also a good friend of mine and a long time friend of Joe's. Grant and I decided the decor had to change along with the new direction the coffee shop was taking as Danneman's coffee in the Old Fourth Ward. And so we took it upon ourselves to do a makeover on the place for Joe and Kate. We had a great time and in two weeks we had completely changed it. We had a blast. So Grant is not my husband, although he is very cute, and I don't own the Danneman's although I will get free coffee for life, and I am a former psychologist, now realestate developer, designer, and I do dance Tango as does Joe who does actually own the building. No wonder there was some confusion!

I've been there a couple of times since they opened and I really love the interior they've put together. It's a very nice space to hang out and the staff is super.

The could use a little work on their espresso drinks, but the brewed coffee was pretty good. I'm the upstairs room is open -- that's a great place to look out the windows and see the old buildings of Edgewood.
