Goodbye, Globe
October 1st, 2008 by Carly M. Alaimo in Gossip, News, RestaurantsTechnology Square’s grown-up cocktail lounge and restaurant, the Globe, confirms they are closing up shop on October 10. The space is staying under the same management with renovations and revamping in store, but no one is certain what will become of the restaurant after its re-opening in 2009. According to an employee, business has grown sparse, especially in the evenings, and there also have been problems with management, and you know, the economy.

I’m not going to claim that I frequent The Globe often but…this does make me sad.

A sign on the door tonight said Oct. 7 (tomorrow) would be the Globe’s last day. A guy inside said he was from Fifth Group Restaurants (owners of South City, Ecco, etc.) and was consulting about what concept to open there next.
