I went there yesterday with friends and I have to say, out of the six of us, my lunch was the only one that wasn’t up to par. The special burger of the day – a Cuban – was great, as were the Bacon & Cheese, the Bun Mi, and the rBq burgers that my friends ordered. My Turf n’ Earth burger was terrible though! The patty oozed out of the bun with each bite and, though I’m not certain, I’m pretty sure it wasn’t cooked as it was just barely heat-lamp warm. The goat cheese was missing and the white truffle butter was just a sloppy glop on top of the arugula. Vegetarians beware – everything fried is cooked in a combo of duck fat and oils. That said, Flip was alright for my meat-eating friends but left me feeling unsatisfied.

On my visit, the burgers (lamb and southern fried) were good. Sides were not great, particularly the sweet potato tots, which were literally wet inside. Shake was fine. Service was confused but genial. I’d go back with someone who wanted to try it but don’t think it will be part of my rotation any time soon. Love the concept; the execution needs work.

Cliff, I loved the pate melt, and Ken melted over the veggie burger, the “Turf-n-Earth.” Mr. B. was there when we visited, too. I thought both milkshakes we tried were unsuccessful, the nutella and the Krispy Kreme. The burgers seem to be the stars here! Happy season to you, Steve in Alpharetta

Peter – I thought the prices were very reasonable, considering the quality of the ingredients…and what did you have that was “greasy”?

French Fries with smoked mayo

Good review Cliff, I posted mine a few minutes ago. I must say, I think you were horn swaggled. I have been there three times and I have seen him in the kitchen once. It was only for short time at that. (sorry – but we know what you look like by now!) It sounds like Richard put out your food.
