More news that totally sucks
January 7th, 2009 by Cliff Bostock in News, RestaurantsJohn Henderson, 27, was shot and killed while at work at the Standard in Grant Park late last night. The popular pub had closed and Henderson was there with another employee when four robbers broke into the building.
As I reported yesterday, the Lamplighter, just a few blocks from the Standard, was also robbed on Christmas Day. Police have not indicated whether there is a link between the two robberies. According to one report, the Standard has been burglarized nine times in the two years it has been open.
Wayne and I are regulars at the Standard. In fact we dined there Monday for its weekly curry special. I extend my sympathy to John’s family and fellow workers at the Standard.

That does totally suck. I hope they catch however did this, 9 times in 2 years is ridiculous to get away with.
