Rolling Bones among 10 best
June 29th, 2009 by Cliff Bostock in RestaurantsBon Appétit magazine has named Rolling Bones on Edgewood Avenue one of the 10 best barbecue restaurants in America.
Of course, this was on the basis of the former menu. The restaurant was recently sold and I was told a new, more diverese menu was on the way when I visited a few weeks ago. I presume the meats will remain the same.

I put little stock in Andrew Knowlton’s top 10 lists in each issue…I feel like for each “top 10 list” he just has a list of major cities, does some minor research, and picks a trendy spot in each one. That being said, I ate there with Broderick and FB this weekend and I liked the brisket. I really enjoyed the potato salad. And the portions are huge.
foodie buddha put up a post on it today.

The only Q commendable at RB is the chicken. The ribs are fatty, the brisket ok and the pork shoulder comes out with little smoke and in weird chunk form
and the 2 sauces suck

Considering Knowlton was raised in Atlanta, you would think he would know better. I put Rolling Bones right up there with Fat Matts as some of the worst’que in town. By the way, Dusty’s sucked big time. Glad they finally bit the dust.
