You deserve a coup d’état today
July 1st, 2009 by Cliff Bostock in NewsWhat a grim photograph. The soldiers are protecting the presidential house in Honduras, following the recent coup. But the background probably says quite a bit about America’s actual interest in preserving democracy in the beleaguered nation.

Cliff – please do yourself a favor and read the accounts. The Honduran Supreme Court and Congress followed the constitution and prevented the Honduran pres from illegally extending his rule. All of this was according to the Honduran Constitution. Democracy is at work here. The removal was clumsy to be sure but legal. Save yourself some embarrasment by reading about what actually happened rather than what Obama, Castro and Chavez, all allies in this instance, are telling you

Huh? I’m making a sarcastic crack about American corporate interests. Lighten up.
