Summertime means Dynamic Dish is at its best

July 5th, 2009 by Cliff Bostock in Restaurants

We hit Dynamic Dish Friday night for the first time in several weeks. Hey, we got seated without a reservation!

I ordered this dish of two borekas — filo pastry stuffed with roasted red peppers, feta cheese and arugula pesto. On the side were zipper peas, fresh corn and heirloom tomatoes. Wayne ordered smoked salmon with German potato salad. The abundance of summer produce makes the restaurant more appealing than ever right now.

By the way, the place was apparently full of foodies one night earlier this week. They all seemed to be Twittering at one another while guzzling wine and sampling David Sweeney’s incomparable cooking. Speech is so yesterday.

That’s just sad. It’s like walking into a coffee house and seeing 8 loners on their laptops ignoring one another.

    Cliff,

I was one of those twittering away that night. I actually organized it.

None of us were tweeting at each other, but back and forth with a couple thousand other wine fans all over the US and CAN as part of the Finger Lake’s “Taste NY” program.

Dave’s food was off the chain.
