Waffle House to open in Technology Square
August 14th, 2009 by Robyn Baitcher in Gossip
The Waffle House communications department confirmed this afternoon that the restaurant will open a new location on Technology Square in Midtown late this year or early next year. Waffle House VP of Marketing and Communications Pat Warner said that the restaurant will be a standard Waffle House, but that corporate is also thinking about including a Wi-Fi lounge in the space. (Hat tip to Abby for the heads up).

I’m embarrassed by how excited I was to read this. I love Midtown. I love pecan waffles. It’s all coming together.

Cheap food, on a college campus. Why they haven’t done this sooner is beyond me. This place will be hoppin’!

Ever heard of Junior’s Grill?
Actually, reading Jeff’s post makes me worried if this spells the end to Junior’s, like Son’s Place on the other end of town.

What?!?! WHAT!!! I just graduated August 1st, and for years we bugged the president of Waffle House about this (his daughter went to tech, and two weeks after I graduate (after 6 long years!) they finally put one in! As awesome as this is… I’m a little jealous/upset to discover it… lucky freshmen!
