Omnivore - Moto Bistro opens
It’s a French bistro with Asian accents
We visited the mysterious, new Moto Bistro (2257 Lenox Rd., 404-634-2828) over the weekend. I say “mysterious” because when I called to learn who owns the place, the manager told me he did not have the “authority” to tell me.
The restaurant is, oddly, a French bistro with a good many Asian touches. There’s pork belly with super-sweet 5-spice sauce, for example. The Asian dishes lend credence to the rumor that the restaurant is owned by a nearby Chinese restaurant.
By far the best dishes we sampled were this large starter of calamari a la Provencal and this pear tart full of almond paste.
