Omnivore - Peter Chang to open Changri-la, a private, speakeasy-style supper club

The country’s most sought-after Chinese chef lands in Atlanta, but you’ll have to work to find him.

I just received a press release, which came in the form of a message in a bottle, that Chinese chef Peter Chang will be opening a private supper club on the outskirts of Atlanta. Awesome, right? Don’t get too excited yet. The press release (which is in Chinese, but is translated here thanks to the help of one of my many Asian friends) reads in part:

Changri-la will serve the most sumptuous, multi-course meals, prepared exclusively by the elusive and superhuman Peter Chang. However, to get a seat at Chang’s table, you must figure out the constantly changing, undisclosed location of the supper club. Once you arrive, you must speak the secret password to the door attendant to receive entry. Only 10 guests will be admitted nightly; guests who arrive after that may be allowed to dine, but Peter Chang will not be cooking.

Opening is expected to be in late summer. A city-wide treasure hunt is planned for the grand opening party.
