Rathbun’s 2009 cooking classes were announced this morning – you can take a look at the lineup here. Last year, 75% of these classes sold out in the first 3 days and the rest sold out over the following few weeks.
Chefs Kent and Kevin Rathbun show their adorable faces on the CBS morning talk show where former opponent, Chef Bobby Flay, regularly corresponds with short segments on food issues.
The Iron Chef champions will appear on “The Early Show” tomorrow morning (Tuesday, March 25), preparing “Tomahawk Chop” and other steak dishes for Julie Chen and the rest of “The Early Show” gang.
The show begins at 7 a.m.
Then, on May 4th, Kevin Rathbun will celebrate Rathbuns’ 4th anniversary and Kevin Rathbun Steak’s first anniversary.
The “Barbecue and Blues” afternoon party will include a band, Rathbun’s favorite barbecue dishes and beer and wine.
The celebration will be from 3-7 p.m. at Rathbun’s. The cost is $50 per person. Reservations are limited, so call soon.

The Wall Street Journal featured Rathbun’s in its Sept. 29 “Power Tables” column. Besides naming the VIPs who regularly dine at the restaurant, the Journal offers these seating tips:
Booth 91 is the prime vantage point for taking in the scene at the bar without actually being part of it. Corner tables 96 and 101 offer the best overall views, and some VIPs prefer to sit with their backs facing the room so as not to be noticed. The core schmoozing tables are in the middle of the dining room: tables 52, 53, 60 and 62. Chef’s table 50 looks right into the open kitchen; those who sit there are treated to complimentary amuses-bouche.
