OK, that’s the blurb for this new blog. For longtime fans of Blurbex, you pretty much know my story: Journalist for 13 years at Gainesville Sun, Tampa Tribune, St. Petersburg Times, Review.net before leaving for the dark side to work in Florida politics as a consultant for both Republicans and Democrats. I’m back in journalism as the political editor of Creative Loafing.
Having said that, how will this blog differ from my work on Blurbex? I hope to widen the scope of our coverage to give a statewide look at politics while maintaining scoops on Tampa Bay political happenings. And unlike Blurbex, you will find only politics here, not music reviews, lifestyle stories etc. That stuff stays back in Blurbex.
I will continue to do Morning Roundup, which will occassionally include non-political links as I highlight the most interesting political stories of the day and the most thought-provoking Florida blog posts as well. Plus, pretty much anything to do with sex will make Morning Roundup.
Let me know what you want to read on Political Whore. And also who you would like to read on PoHo, because I’m hoping to add guest bloggers to the PoHo rolls.
