It’s horrible seeing how messed up government is today, especially for an intelligent teenager. I read Creative Loafing, I watch documentaries, and I just generally try to stay up to date with what’s going on. I feel like I’m not old enough to do things to change the world, but I want to because I know I have nothing to lose. Adults have their jobs and lives at stake [they would be sent to jail].
I know about health care, because my family almost couldn’t get any once my dad got a job. And I know about education, because my mom is a teacher at a local high school. It angers me how people become stupid at the sight of green pieces of paper. Sure, this is nothing new, but I just wanted to let everyone know that the next generation isn’t stupid and is prepared to fix things. Even without social security.
