July 18, 2007 at 2:42 pm by Wayne GarciaThe Tampa Bay O-Train volunteers for Barack Obama have organized a night at the Crowbar to laud their candidate, register voters and get their music on. It starts at 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5.
Ba-Rock for Change’s invitation goes like this:
Local musicians (Last Day Alive, Shane Ali, Falter Boy, Mind Static, DangerFlight)will be rockin the Crowbar in Ybor City in support of Senator Obama’s audacious and inspiring run for the Whitehouse. The music will vary, with everything from rock, hip-hop and electronic/trip hop. The show is 18 and up with a mere $3 cover! DON’T FORGET YOUR ID, you’ll need it to get in the door as well as register to vote!! Drink specials all night. We will be registering voters and handing out literature to help inform the youth about our candidate and his fight for the people. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come! Doors open at 7pm and we’ll be wrapping up around 1am.
