Poynter loses a faculty member to the real world
November 8, 2007 at 10:31 am by Wayne GarciaHe’s got the centerpiece article on today’s Poynter.org home page but faculty member Scott Libin is leaving the educational facility that owns the St. Pete Times for a job in broadcasting.
He’ll be returning to Minneapolis-St. Paul as the news director at WCCO-TV, according to this announcement. He was previously a news director in the same market at a different station until 2003, when he left to come to Poynter, for his second tour of duty at the school in downtown St. Pete.
At Poynter, Libin was managing editor of the website and taught courses in management/leadership. He starts in the Twin Cities on Dec. 3.
