The Hot Story: Top 10 underreported stories
December 11, 2007 at 12:15 pm by Wayne GarciaTime magazine has a whole buncha lists in its latest issue, the most interesting of which is its “Top 10 Underreported Stories” list. Aside from the lack of internal logic of that phrase (after all, Time could have reported more on the stories and thus taken them off the list by themselves, as the National Review points out), it is a good look at the kinds of important news for which there is no longer a mass audience. This includes Somalia, Ethiopia, political campaigning out of the White House, the AIDS epidemic leveling off, obesity rates leveling off, and nuclear weapons mishandling. Nothing real earthshaking there, and some, such as the obesity story, got a pretty good run in the MSM, I think.
So, what are our Top 10 Underreported Stories in Tampa Bay?
