McClellan dishes on Bush Administration
May 28, 2008 at 12:38 pm by Ben FryThanks for the revelatory information.
Former White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan’s new book reportedly makes the unbelievable claim that the Bush White House relied on lies and propaganda to sell the war in Iraq.
No way.
More specifically, no way McClellan is making this claim almost five years after it became common knowledge. Thank God he told us; now it’s official. (Although not according to the White House and Karl Rove, who are both denying the accusations in the McClellan book.)
Apparently, Bush lied about a lot of things — like golf. (Then again, what golfer hasn’t lied about his game?)
However, we found out about these lies a little late, I guess. It’s too bad we didn’t have this information in 2004. Maybe we could have avoided four more Bush years.
The sad thing is that the Bush administration making things up to justify an unnecessary war is old news. We know and we have all moved on. It has lost its immediacy and we seem to have lost our outrage.
It’s too bad GW didn’t lie about getting a blow job. Maybe then we would have had a chance of getting rid of him.
At this point, I just can’t wait until January 20th, 2009.

McClellan is getting hammered by the WH spin machine on Fox News and MSNBC this afternoon. The upshot: This doesn’t sound like the Scott I knew. Maybe it was heavily edited to put in sensational claims. (and of course) If he was so concerned about Iraq and other matters, why didn’t he express those concerns at that time?

Don’t be so eager to get to January 20th, Ben. There’s still a better than 50-50 shot* we’ll be watching President McCain get sworn in on that day.
*-The Republicans have long been rigging national elections by targeting eligible black voters for expulsion from the voter rolls. There is no reason to think they’ll stop now, and with Barack’s chances hinging on black voter turnout over-performing, Republican chicanery this year might be more damaging than usual.

i can’t wait until Cheney writes his book and blames Bush too….”I had NO idea the amount of BS this Bush guy was feeding me, but I had faith in his ability to lead and just did what he said”….
when the moral cleansing/purging/hanging/guillotine-ing occurs I think we should still put McLellen on the chopping block.
-Mob rule got us into it, perhaps Mob rule can get us out…Off with their heads!

i should also comment that i still fear this administration and would like to point out the above statement is not a direct threat to anyone at all…it is more of a wet dream….

“i … would like to point out the above statement is not a direct threat to anyone at all”
Too late Frank, the Bush people already know what you said and are on their way to pick you up right now for thinking something dangerous to national security. They are preparing a bed for you in a nice little resort in Cuba called Gitmo Bay. I think it is ran by the same folks who run Tradewinds Island Resort…although I could be wrong.

If that’s really is your new cell mate Frank, be sure to make him your bitch as soon as possible. It’s just too bad the sex won’t be any good, since Cheney has already worn that hole out.
