Denver: Liveblogging from the peanut gallery tonight

Tonight it is Hillary Rodham Clinton’s turn. Will she forecefully endorse Obama? Will she be a fighter or warm and fuzzy (if that’s possible)? Will she get the job done? And if so, for whom, herself or her party’s nominee?

Hi Mr. Junkie,
The hub of the Progressive Community is living this week Denver Civic Center Park across the street from the State Capital.
Everybody who’s anybody is here. The word is “Demonstrate” no longer called protesting.
The universal label for the activist Demonstrations at this Convention is “Recreate
1968.” It did not manifest to the level of ‘68, locals blame the repressive presence of law enforcement in riot gear.
At one point when the militant anti gay, anti abortion, Jesus militia guys Were facing off in a shouting match with the Progressives. The Riot gear garbed Law enforcement stood close by; somehow it did have a calming effect on the scene.

Hi Mr. Junkie,
Denver & its Citizens have been a great host. My driving has been the worst of the lost tourist sort. The kind that I would certainly honk at. The Denver drivers are patient and even let you in front of them, consistently.
The City is maneuverable even with the convention traffic, not real excited about the $25 parking fees. That might even be higher than NYC.
Hillary Clinton has been the talk of the Convention for the last couple of days. She performed exactly as I expected here to do gracious and professional. I can’t decide if her finest moment was when she released her delegates or when she cast her vote for Obama from the floor.
Off to the Denver Art Museum before trekking out to Invesco field. I’ve been wondering what they are going to do to replace the balloons & confetti in an open stadium.

Mr. Junkie,
I am one tired puppy, sitting in the airport USO while I wait for my
plane trying to cloak my liberal leanings. But the entire room here is responding to the entertainment factor of McCains VIP selection.
The experience of Invesco field lingers on. I admit to getting very emotional
when interviewing attendees particularly the Black women.
Here are some quotes:
“ The dream was lost but now it’s alive.”
“ This is an overwhelming experience, I can’t describe it.”
Another said that the Generals appearing for Obama was the icing on the cake.
