New Christine Jennings video: My opponent fiddles while Rome burns
October 22, 2008 at 1:24 pm by Wayne GarciaYes, it’s a bit harshly lit. And yes, Christine Jennings’ eyes don’t quite connect with the viewer as she reads the script. And she isn’t all warm-and-fuzzy looking. Aesthetics aside, however, this new TV ad gets away from the accusations-trading that has marked her challenge to incumbent Republican Congressman and gazillionaire car dealer Vern Buchanan by talking about the economic issues.
It went up this morning, and I already saw it on the Today Show earlier. The full script follows the jump.
Here’s the script, as provided by the Jennings Campaign:
Christine Jennings: Our economy is struggling – and Florida families are hurting. But my opponent is wasting our time by spending millions of dollars on false attacks. We deserve better.
As a businesswoman for 40 years, I understand the need to focus on what matters – creating good jobs, cutting taxes to help homeowners and businesses and fixing health care.
I’m Christine Jennings and I approve this message because our families deserve better.
