Hey, PR firms out there, the Lowry Park Zoo definitely could use your assistance. This from TBO:
Lowry Park Zoo has hired at least half a dozen sheriff’s deputies to keep out those not authorized to attend today’s private meeting between the zoo board and its embattled president.
Tampa Mayor Pam Iorio had asked for a public meeting, but as news reporters and photographers arrived this morning, they were guided to a side entrance and away from a conference room set up for board members. The board has more than 35 members.
Lowry Park Zoo will be billed for the security costs, said Ken Orill, who works in security at the zoo.
