Does Barack Obama celebrate Christmas?

Well, if you believe this wackadoodle he doesn’t:

Yes, that’s Pastor James David Manning, semi-famous online for his crazy rants against Obama and his own parishioners who supported the president-elect. The truth, of course, lies elsewhere from Manning’s assessment, in this plane of existence that we like to call “reality.” Obama told People magazine earlier this year that he and wife do not lavish gifts on their daughters on their birthdays or at Christmastime because they don’t want to give in to commercialism and unlimited avarice. Politico reported at that time that the Obama’s leave the gifting to Santa and that Obama:

tells People magazine in the issue out Friday that he and his wife, Michelle, do not give Christmas or birthday presents to their two young daughters.

Obama tells the magazine’s Sandra Sobieraj Westfall in a seven-page cover story that he and his wife follow the unusual practice because they “want to teach some limits.”

In the interview earlier this summer, Obama noted that they do spend “hundreds” of dollars on birthday slumber parties.

Michelle Obama told People: “Malia says, ‘I know there is a Santa because there’s no way you’d buy me all that stuff.’ ”

And just to show that he’s not geared up in Muslim garb and plotting the demise of Old Saint Nick, here’s the Obama family’s video Christmas card:
