Cartoons get serious this week at the second annual CARTOONING FOR PEACE, which features a political-cartoons exhibit as well as public lectures and panel discussions on the world of cartooning beyond the Sunday funnies Mon.-Thurs., NOV. 12-15. Editorial cartoonists from around the world, including the event’s founder, Le Monde’s Plantu, and the AJC’s Mike Luckovich, visit topics such as Japanese manga, women in cartooning and illustrating political leadership.
