See & Do: Ice skating on Christmas Eve

December 24th, 2007 by Helen Herbst in Family

a233_see_1224_jpg-original.jpgAtlanta probably won’t see snow this holiday season, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be ice. Centennial Olympic Park’s ICE SKATING RINK is the city’s only outdoor rink. With seasonal lights and music, and ice to support 250 skaters, there’s enough winter fun for everyone. The rink is open today, DEC. 24, so grab a friend, rent some skates and practice your triple salchow in the landmark park. Through Jan. 6. $6-$8. Hours vary; closed Christmas Day. 265 Park Ave. 404-223-4412. www.centennialpark.com/events/ice.html.
