Although MARC MARON’s not a household name, he’s definitely an industry heavyweight who deserves to be more famous. Maron’s brilliant comedy mixes self-deprecation, social observation and a nonconformist attitude. In a great set about Christmas and differences between Jews and Gentiles, he quips, “Oh yeah, sit on the fat guy’s lap and ask him for shit … and they say Jews are the ones with the funny customs.” Maron performs for four nights at the Funny Farm beginning Thurs., FEB. 7.
