Perhaps no theatrical production staged during this year’s Black History Month sounds as offbeat as ANGELA’S MIXTAPE, a joint world premiere continuing Sat., FEB. 16, between Atlanta’s Synchronicity Performance Group and New York City’s New Georges. Playwright Eisa Davis, niece of Black Panther and activist Angela Davis, offers a musical memoir that finds radical 1970s politics at odds with 1980s materialism. The play, a Pulitzer Prize finalist directed by Liesl Tommy, sounds like a one-of-a-kind mashup of autobiography and hip-hop. Through March 16. $14.46-$17.10. Thurs.-Sat., 8 p.m.; Sun., 7 p.m. 7 Stages, 1105 Euclid Ave. 404-484-8636. www.synchrotheatre.com.
