See & Do: Theater: Shake at the Lake
May 11th, 2008 by Curt Holman in Theater
For its fifth free production in Piedmont Park, Georgia Shakespeare remounts last summer’s The Servant of Two Masters for its annual SHAKE AT THE LAKE show, continuing Sun., MAY 11. Chris Ensweiler brings his flair for physical humor as the title character in Carlo Goldoni’s classic commedia dell’arte play. Expect plenty of winking, present-day gags, too – I’ll be shocked if there’s no tongue-in-cheek reference to the drought. Remember: It’s free, but you have to pick up tickets at the Piedmont Park Visitors Center or the Conant Performing Arts Center, and they’re usually all taken by showtime, so don’t wait until the last minute. Through May 11. Free. 7:30 p.m. Piedmont Park, Lake Clara Meer dock. 404-264-0020. www.shakeatthelake.com.
