See & Do: Music: SoCo Music Experience

May 17th, 2008 by Alicia Wages in Music

seedo4-1_02.jpgSummer is not only notorious for turning up the heat, it’s also the season of stellar music festivals. This year Atlanta is kicking it off with the SOCO MUSIC EXPERIENCE – sorry, kids, this one is for the 21-and-up crowd. With an eclectic lineup that includes Against Me! (pictured), Ghostland Observatory, Supersuckers, Ryan Shaw and Bang Camaro, you can expect a diverse crowd with one common goal: to have a good time. The SoCo train rolls into town Sat., MAY 17, and sets up shop at Centennial Olympic Park. Boasting two stages, the SoCo & Lime Dome with DJ Star Eyes manning the turntables, and multiple vendors serving up food, drinks and more, there really is no excuse to miss out. Did we mention it’s free? Free. 3 p.m. Centennial Olympic Park, 265 Park Ave. 404-222-7275. www.southerncomfort.com/scmxatl.
