seedo8-1_05.jpgBilled as a traveling one-hour salute to politics in what is sure to be a year filled with them, Twinhead Theatre’s DONKEY PUNCH! challenges a deeply ingrained aversion to heading to the polls by heading to the bars Fri., JUNE 6. The 13-member Twinhead ensemble, directed by Diana Brown, takes a less conventional approach to battling voter apathy by tackling politics – and Uncle Sam – with a comically informative twist. The constantly morphing yearlong show jumps from bar to bar, mixing a political variety hour involving film, theater, puppetry and music with your favorite booze for good measure. $7. 9 p.m. Lenny’s Bar, 486 Decatur St. 404-577-7721. www.twinheadtheatre.org.
