Proposition 8 Protest
Thursday, November 20th, 2008Over 1000 people rallied in front of the Georgia Capitol in Atlanta Saturday, November 15, 2008 in protest of California’s Proposition 8, which bans gay marriage in California. The protest in Atlanta was part of hundreds of demonstrations across the country Saturday in support of legalizing Gay marriage in the United States. Speakers included Representative Karla Drenner, Georgia’s only openly gay legislature. The lively crowd spilled onto the street in front of the Capitol and waved homemade signs and rainbow flags.
